All the cash registers that we supply at Harmony are suitable for retail and hospitality businesses. To decide which cash register is right for you, you need to consider several options.

Size of cash drawer/footprint

Do you need your cash register to fit into a small space (ie have a small 'footprint')? If so, you may want a smaller cash register. The disadvantage is the limited number of coin and note compartments available. A large cash drawer usually has eight coin and four cash compartments.

Type of printer

Do you have a high number of transactions every day? If so, you probably need a heavy-duty printer, but if not, you may be able to get away with something smaller. A pub or busy retail shop would usually have a heavy-duty printer. A hair salon or small café would usually have a light-duty printer.

Paper rolls

Do you require a customer receipt and a journal (a record of each individual sale)? If your answer is No, then you need a cash register with a single paper roll. If the answer is Yes then you have two options:

• a single paper roll machine which can print the journal at the end of the day, or
• a machine with two paper rolls. (These machines usually come on a large cash drawer.)
