Success at St Gregory and St Patrick's School

St Gregory and St Patrick's School in Whitehaven is one of the leaders in providing healthy food cooked fresh on the premises. With a fantastic 98% school meals uptake; it is a bench maek for other schools in the country. Head Anthony Dwyer acknowledges that their new Electrolux Air-O-Steam and Air-O-Convect ovens together with the enthusiasm of cooks Susan and Helen is a key element in this success.
Mr Dwyer said "A recent £1 millon expansion of the school to an included Community and Conference facility means that meals are now offered to the people of the area at evening and weekends. We have an expanded the school's kitchen production and the new ovens give us the ability to produce everything from full menu service to a great range of bakery items.'
The new catering equipment supplied by Harmony means that the school can produce up to 400 meals a day for the school and attached facilities. It also means it has an extra source of revenue through bakery products supplied in the school shop.
